Well, what's it going to be in the squash category for everyone? A lot of new choices available, many are almost a guranteed green...
I'm going with my own 881 Beauchemin(748 Koch x 980 Razo).
What will produce the first 1100lb True Green??

I think you made a mistake. I am sure that in my notes I have the 1018 Swarts (895 Hester x 980 Razo) as the first to produce a 1100lb True Green. LOL

I will be going with
1018 Swarts
903 Swarts
1063.5 Mackenzie
848 Mackrnzie
822 Platte
522 Sherwood
895 Hester
and I am thining about adding the 793 Blalock

Good luck to all and lets see a lot of 1000lb + greenies

hey you

Greencastle, PA

546* Welty here as well. I've grown a couple of these seeds, but the conditions just weren't right. The first time it was the king of the patch, then a branch fell and snapped it at the stump. Last year I was living in a rental house and planted one in one of those little plastic kids' pools and got one between 100-150 lbs with perfect shape, dark olive green color, and thick walls. I picked it ahead of the 848 and 1003 MacKenzie, if that tells you how confident I am in it. If you want a 546, send me an e-mail, I have quite a few of them and so does Nic (he never promotes his seeds). The cross is 744 Welty x 703 Smith. There's a picture of it in the photo gallery, but its offspring are much darker.
