Has anyone on here ever crossed one variety of Hubbard Squash with another variety of Hubbard Squash? I'm trying to do so this year, I have Blue Hubbard and Green Hubbard Squash inter planted, and am going to let the bees do the work and take my chances on what I get!

It does work. The blue's seem to cross with almost anything.

BTW - you might be interested in the weird and wacky crosses I'm growing this year. Check out my diary.

I'd like to see a giant marrow crossed with a field pumpkin.

Pepo x maxiama?
Becomes very difficult. A lot of luck.

I do not think the marrow the brits grow is a maxima. I think it is a pepo.
