Depends what you want. The 800 Neily* will go big if it doesn't blow up. The 947 Cuypers* and 978 Cuypers* seem to do well. The 848 MacKenzie* will get you to a maximum of 1131 lbs. I personally like the 1055.5 Pitura* and will be growing one for fun outside in 2011.

If you grow a squash that is from the 895 Hester line, including the ones mentioned above, you will only be able to pollinate it with a very close relative (another line of 895 Hester) or self it, These lines have been crossed and recrosses or selfed so much in the last few years that they are very hard to pollinate. If you choose to grow a squash with the lines above they will pollinate with a pumpkin line quite easily. I would suggest a pumpkin with 935 linage, (1068 Wallace or something with the 1068 in its make up is a good example. This would help diversifying the squash linage and the lloyd genetics will also give you a better percentage of growing a squash in the future out of your fruit.

That would be an excellent choice as far as I'm concerned, Andy did a great cross in the 535 , which is the 848 X 815 Andersen. Squash X pumpkin, but the 815 has thrown several Squash. I'd still plant the 848, It's a great Squash producer

The 661* did well in Finland. I beleive three were grown and all beat the old Finnish squash record by several hundred lbs, which of course wasn't too hard to do, but still...
I agree with Iwan. The 942 Jager 10* could be a great seed. The 942 broke the old German record of 792 dating back to 2005.
Save a few of those seeds for me Horst :)

Hello Brad,
I imagined already you interest in it has and which wanted to send to you at the end of November of it.
I have already thought to myself which cross I would like to make the next year with 942* and has decided me for 1031* Werner with 898 Knauss genetics in the background, I think this is a good option.

661* Rivington did very well in Finland. We had record hot Summer but after mid Aug to our weigh-off on 2nd Oct. only couple days over 70F and most days around 60F, not so ideal end season, nite temps on September around 40F, first light frost on my patch 1st Sept.
All of three biggest fruits off 661* was grown without greenhouse. Those were 6 to 13% heavy to the chart. There was also 735 est DMG off 661*
So far 661´s hasnt been grown anywhere but Finland, that seed could produce nice fruits in right hands and little bit better weather zone...Bonus, total 6 of 661`s* grown in Finland last two years, all matched colour rule nicely:)

690* Jager -09 and 942* Jager sounds temptating, maybe...
Okey, my 689* has way under 100 good seeds, im getting those back from Ireland in few weeks. Going to plant one or two myself next year, know few that will try those too. I keep small reserve myself.
Rest are free to get as long supplies last.
