Okay, so it sounds like we will agree to disagree about the technicalities of color and pass this off to the GPC judges. In the end, it doesn;t matter, because as a group, we can look at photos and listen to first hand accounts of the different fruit and make our genetic choices from that regardless of what the fruit was 'judged'. I am happy with that so we can move on.
Next topic is a house cleaning one that I feel is paramount to success. Communication. I have an email list started and will send out a welcome email to those I have. If you would like to be on the list and do not receive and email, please email me at pumpkinguru@gmail.com and I will add you to the list. This topic should be a pretty easy one.
Lets get ourselves set up and then get into the fun stuff.

I was hoping we would get you too Jim!! LOL
Curt, I think it will take a combined effort from all of us that still have the old seeds in our hoards, and pull from other old time growers who may have old seeds. Germination percentages are going to be very low, but if we get something to sprout, we will need to distribute the seedlings to as many people as possible to get as many viable offspring as possible to revive the old gene pool. This will be the one of the fun parts.
I will be first to admit that my 895 was a bad thing for squash as we lost the family tree and it looks more like a family telephone pole with a bird nest on top. This will be a fun offseason.
