Hello Everyone,
I am back from wrestling moose in Alaska and it looks like we have a very lopsided vote on the board of directors vs. positions set up for the mamagement of our young club.

We will be going with a Committee as you probably guessed. Soooo... its time to start looking to fill the committee. Eddy Z would just like to be the GPC rep, so we will need a Canadian, a European, West Coast/Northwest Midwest/Southern and an East Coast/Northeast Rep. Lets get some Nominations up on the board or through email.

It looks as if the ball is already rolling for a seed auction for our club. We will need someone to spearhead and organize this, so if anyone would like to step up in an official manner or if anyone would like to nominate someone, I think it is time to go ahead and start working in that direction.

Those two things alone are enough to chew on for now. Glad to be back...lets keep it moving forward.

I read a lot of "GPC" in almost all messages. Does this means the grown squashes should be weighed at an gpc site?
We don't have shuch a site in The Netherlands..............

i e-mailed eddyz, in ur absence,, brett, he said he would be interim treasurer till we got on our feet,btu he didnt want to be the rep, as he's 1st ties is GPC,

Iwan, I think we will go into this topic at a later date, but personally I would like to try and include as many squash (growers) as possible in the IGSG, in so far as to include GPC weighoffs and non-GPC weighoffs as well to accomodate situations like yours where a GPC site is not realistically available.

We will need standards as to what will constitute an official entry, but we can go over that later. Just my 2 cents....

we have west coast/mtn states,,, northeastern, southern/central. and canadian,, we still need a european canadite,,,, is anyone willing to donate their time,, to assist in getting us going, we realize this is going to take time and effort to work, lets make it happen,,
