And of course : what seeds did you plant ?
I have a nice 915* Haist and one of my own, 577* Preis (which is still in competition with his backup, 100* Preis). The firt pollinations on both plants are looking good so far, but due to weather the plants are a bit too small.
Also a very agressive 941* Sherwood squeezed in 150sqft like a tiger in the cage, It looks like fruitsetting on this one will be a challenge.

hi benny, I have a few going. 996* looks good, and my 941* is strong as well. how is the color on your 941* fruit? mine are light green with some orange mixed in. I am guessing they will end up orange. I just pollinated my second one on both. first ones didn't take.

oh yeah, my 941*s also have super long stems, so that is cool. got those 1495 stelts genes with hopefully no stem stress once it gets big.

long stems on all three plants. The just aborting pollination on 941* was light green in the tip and yellow with green stripes at pollination, so it will throw a pumpkin as I expected.

We are growing the 996 this year. Plant looks healthy so far. We have one pollinated. The only problem is that it's standing straight up. Hopefully it'll start to bend over into a good position. Good luck all.

1135 Jutras seems to have some potential, hopefully will have a 'keeper' in the next few days. 609 Jarvis (selfeld 1002) also in but something's wrong with the plant, would have pulled it if I had another option (my dads on the other hand looks great). Also going to try the 1486 for breeding:)

Phil....put a pillow under it...seriously...some grow so fast early they can get to bowling ball size before they lay down when stem in air like that....they tend to break the stems if you don't support it or twist the main so its on ground......been there done that and have lost good ones....

Thanks for the info Glenn. I'll make sure it is well supported. It sure is the strangest looking fruit that I've ever had. It looks like a big lollipop. Good luck all.

(2) 903 Gaboury are in the ground. Both plants are growing like crazy. One stem blew out a couple days after pollination. I had another stem on a different pollination blow out even before it was pollinated. Just pollinated another this morning. These plants have a lot of juice flowing in them. Hopefully I'll get a couple hooked up. I imagine it's going to be a wild ride.

I've been trying to go green with a 711 Chenier but so far it doesn't want to set a fruit. I will try the pillow, some roses and Barry White if I have to.

Hey Alex, do you have anything set on the 834 Sandercock? If so,why don't you go with it? Instead of ripping it out and taking a chance on not having a squash at all.

I put some bundled up blankets beside the lollipop squash to support it as it lays down. It's slowly starting to lay down. This is the second fruit on the plant & will likely be terminated if the 1st one makes it past day 25. Thanks for all your help.
Good luck all, Jane & Phil

I'm growing the 1486 Jarvis. I crossed it with the 2009 Wallace on 7/9. This is the first female to show up on the plant that probably covers 600 sq feet.
