263* Lütjens (it is a 800 Neily x self). This is my only squash plant this year, and it shows significantly more aggressive growth than two of my AG plants which have been sown the same day.

Farming- a bunch of catastrophies that result in a lifestyle
|
263* Lutjens (800 Neily selfed)- outstanding, just popped a 5 lobe...to close in, but still- a 5 lobe!! I could die happy now. LOL 89' Shymanski- so slow to start, however now is in race horse mode with a main vine that is super thick but staying on the ground!! Bell- Unknown genetics, but she is going real well now. Males and females everywhere after a slight bobble she is now pouring out the foliage.

996 Haist. It beat out my 1233* Hunt by only 3" to win the only spot we have for squash. Both plants were strong plants with lots of early season vigor. Hoping for an earlier pollination this year.
Thanks to all those growers who are planting our 1233 seed. I think it will be just as good as the 996 is now. Good luck everyone. Cheers,
Jane & Phil

I noticed I made an error on my Brunst seed. I have the * 824 Brunst 2005 in the ground no such thing as the 805 LOL. Dave Hilstoskygrew it and won the 2007 GPC squash crown with his 1,154.5 that he weighed in at Altoona. The think was huge measuring 400 ATT. He edged out Jerry Dawson from Ohio that year by 1.5 pounds. Jerry's went 16 percent heavy. The Brunst seed in itself went 21 percent heavy. Dave's squash unfortunately went way light for him. To bad as it had an estimated weight of 1337 pounds. Does anyone know of anything else that was grown on the * 824 Brunst 05.

1186 Pierpont and the 1028 Johnson*. 1186 was judged a pumpkin. 1028* is the female parent to the 1177 Haist* I think it would have grown more monsters but it has a tendency to throw questionable color so many have shied away from it.
Here's a pic of the 1186 http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=149866
