Subject: Lots of sapping....Like never before.....

Not sure if its genetic related or not....But I have nevere seen so much sapping from a green squash... Looks like someone sprayed gorilla glue on the fruit before it gets drapped with a sheet..... Fruit is solid...like a rock too....Cant wait to see the season ending results.... How bout yours?

My 500 Cantrell is sapping all over too. but its good and solid. My first year growing a greenie so I have no idea on this.

Sapping on a squash early means it is solid and will weigh heavy over the chart. Nothing to worry about. Squash grower here.

Green squash tend to ooze sap more than the pumpkins in my experience. Just a sign that its healthy and growing. Never had any problems with an oozing squash.

Got a late start on my squash. Managed to get a couple 717* Lovelace '10 going. Have two nice small ones. One plant controlled sib, others is an open. Having major issues with PM this year. Have not measured, not going to until Bear Wallow, then I'll pull the biggest one and take it. Maybe 350ish right now.

Well it does thump solid... and has a huge plant behind it...set out at 25 feet, I just hope it holds together as it is growing fast....
