Neither the 1578 or 1421 produced what I expected. Besides the 1445* I don't see anything interesting this year, so decided to ditch the squash for pumpkins next year.

If anyone is interested. I have some seeds from a 1578 that was taping 1350# that went down waiting for the Stillwater weigh-off crossed with a 1362 Pugh the developed a small split taping 950# in early august. The 950 was light and developed a couple of small yellow spots. the 1350 look just like the 1578.

I lost my 1362 this year. I,ve been growing squash since 95. The 1362 gave me more 5 & 6 seg blossoms than anything I ever had. The 1350 above could be a monster. Jim

I'm going to be growing the 1060 Holub 2015 seeds next year.
1060 Holub 2015 (1478.5 Holub x self) - Grown for breeding only.
These seeds should throw 1/4 greenies. Genetically 3/4 pumpkin, 1/4 squash = 1/2 2009 Wallace, 1/2 1578* Holub. Love the dull orange color for letting the true green show through in the green-baby offspring (I hope!).

Squash plan for next year: Plant 8-10 plants in one patch, thin down to one green-fruited plant as soon as females show.
p.s. 1478.5 Holub was (282 Scherber [2009 Wallace] x 615 Cantrell [1578* Holub])
