I planted a 1775 hunt this spring. It is 2145xself. It has green females!? Why would this happen? Has anyone else had this trouble?

Are you saying it grew a squash or that the baby fruit were green. Either way funny things can happen with color and selfing especially so.What color was the 1771? Selfed orange is known to throw green.

The plant had an extremely rough start, and is only just reaching 15 feet long. I was going to try and grow it, to hope for a squash at 200 pounds for a later weigh off, but if you think it will change colour, then I may pull the plant. I don't know about the 1771s colour, I just know that it's females are green.

I didn't have the chance to self it. I was gone for the weekend, to spend time with family, and cam home late on Saturday. Sunday, I went out, and noticed it had opened, and the bees had gotten to it. It is 3 dap, and I haven't seen growth, so might be aborted.
