Anyone out there have seeds with that DARK variant gene? Like the rare ones that were almost black. I don't mind if they're old. Trying to keep the color alive. Brotherdave01@aol.com

You could check with Gene or Joel Jarvis for seeds. Dave do you think there is an environmental factor as well that creates the dark, dark green?

996 Haist had the best dark green color I have ever seen.

Maybe not as dark as you'd like but maybe once criss-crossed with anything exemplary is the 1511.5 Haist that I grew last year. As described, I ran outta fertilizer for a time and the fruit ended up aborting, although I really could not tell, by color. Would definitely grow again! BP Link eric g
