Hi All
A couple of weeks ago it came to our attention that Rick Mercer's CBC report was looking for Canada's best small town event.
Upon saying this, we submitted our entry for the pumpkin regatta.
I received a call today from the show and they advised that our event was chosen along with some others that will be highlighted on the show this coming Monday night at 8 pm.
I do know an overall winner will eventually be chosen and it wasn't exactly clear on how they are doing this. I think they are picking a few and then after showing those chosen, the winner will be shown the following week. I guess we will have to wait and see.
Make sure to pass along this email to your families and friends so everyone can see the Pumpkin Regatta being highlighted on TV once again.
Thanks Maureen

Should I be worried, considering Rick Mercer has a habit of making people look like complete idiots? Then again, can there be any other description for an individual willing to climb into a giant pumpkin for the purposes of a boat race? Should be fun, I'll have to set the VCR for this one.
Look Mom, I'm gonna be on TV!

Just don't sign any petitions to ban the Saskatchewan seal hunt or to congratulate Prime Minister Tim Horton on his double-double and you guys will be fine ;0) .
