I leave for Calgary and Vancouver, I shall know if there are the competitions of potiron in his cities or not very far, thank you in advance for the information.

Hi Jean! It's nice to have you coming our way. The biggest weigh-off in Alberta is in Smoky Lake, which is about a 4 1/2 hour drive from Calgary and is much closer to Edmonton. This happens on October 1st. The climate in Calgary is not the best for growing pumpkins and there's not too many serious growers. Eddy Z (Ice-Man) I think is organizing a pumpkin event the week after, just north of Calgary. He's the biggest grower in the area and is just a great guy. I'm 3 hours southeast of Calgary, but my schedule for October is up in the air as my wife is having our third child in about a month. Otherwise, I'd love to get together.

Vancouver has more growers and a more hospitable climate for pumpkins. Glenn (North Shore Boyz) will have more information for you.

Jean, our weigh-off is not till later in October. Would love to get together with you, the Lawman and some other local growers and enjoy a beer or 2 together.

I know you have been in touch with James (Lawman) so keep in touch and we can meet up while you are here.

Glenn, I would be delighted to speak you pumpkins about giants with you.
We are in Vancouver from September 28 till October 3 and my wife and I would be delighted to meet you and to drink a beer together, we have our hotel is " Quality Hotel Downtown Vancouver " 1335 Howe Street, Vancouver BC.
I see that for the competition in Alberta, one has 4 hours 1/2 of car, one is going to think.

We will be at the weigh off when your in Vancouver, but if if your in Calgary on the 8th of October, we are doing a Pumpkin drop on a car. Either way let me know when you arrive and where your staying and we can talk pumpkins and drink beer. LOL
