Wow this is very weird weather in Southern Ontario and Canada. It is currently winter on the praries. It's snowing and is 0'C in Winipeg. Here the temp is 24 and feels warmer. It's bin like that since the weekend. It's summer here, all the way up to the atlantic. B.C. looks normal around 12'C. What a summer!

I think it's supposed to start dropping dramatically in the next day or two and then stabilize around 15 degrees Celsius (check out: http://www.weathernetwork.ca/weather/14day/pages/CAON0686.htm?CAON0686). So, realistically, those holding off on harvesting are not getting a full extra week. But, if a pumpkin was growing fast enough, a couple of days could make a big difference.

Definately fall out here... cool and wet. My pumpkin is still out on the vine, but there's no growth whatsoever, and I'm hoping that she doesn't rot out there before our weigh off on Oct 29...

Nope never mind, the temperature took a dive down to normal. I love this weather. Hot sun, cool breeze from the north, everything is colorful, everything smells fresh and clean, and everything kind of glimers in the light, especially the pumpkins! Happy Thanksgiving!
