This is the best site for growing giant pumpkins,(there are others that are also good in the links on main menue)look everywhere, diary's, message boards, use the site search, post messages like you did, join in the chat room. Join the ontario pumkin growers association.

Check out the book How to grow world class giant pumpkins III. Lots of good tips in it but in the end it's all about the seed and the weather.

Matt's probably told you about us & the GVGO. It's best to join the local group & get good seeds & good advice. Matt joined last year & popped out an 814# in his 1st year. With a little more effort, I see him growing a 1000#er in the next year or two. Check out the GVGO's message board for some good advice & feel free to ask questions.
