How are all the growers in western Canada doing? Plants growing strong? Mine are doing well. Eight foot main right now. If the damn weather would kick into summer but I guess if it did that then we will be wattering all day.

Ben, our recent weather has been....well just awefull. You must have a nice hoophouse or greenhouse set-up to have such a large plant "up country".
Here in the big city, lately my heaters have been running alot however we are doing OK and the plants are off and running with some secondaries now too.
I wonder how the Island Boyz are doing?

Built my hoophouse with rebar and pvc pipes. Works like a hot damn. There has been lots of rain here but we get just enough sunny breaks to keep the temp in the hoophouse around 20-35. Plant has four side vines that are 3-4 feet and six more that are around 1 foot. I started a bit early this year.

We haven't had much sun on the island. A day or two there, so not great for pumpkin growing. I started my plants a bit later, and have had issues with a flat vine that's now split into two, but the plant looks healthy. My friend has about a 5 foot main vine but mine isn't even on the ground yet.

didn't think I would need hoophouses this long so only built little starter ones. My plants that I put out that I started inside are doing discusting. Finally just put seeds out in the dirt and they are doing much better. Embarrased to put pics up of how my plants are doing because they look so crappy. flowering and all but are really small. Cool weather is just fine because I don't have to water so often and now worry about burning the plants. Good started weather. When the sun does come out it burns the plants.
