Today I was a member of a panel at a press conference for a brand new weigh off in Germany (Heino, get with Norbert so that next year they are GPC).

The question came up about how much the seeds cost. I gave them my best guess answer, but told them I would get back to them.

So, from the following seeds, what do you think they will go for in auction this year. If I did not list a seed that you think should be mentioned please post that as well (I am leaving the 998 Pukos and 1068 Wallace off because it would be crazy to auction one of them, if you got one, plant it!)

My last computer had a LOT of seed auction data on it. Its a slow process but I can extract the results if no one else has posted it by the end of the weekend.

Thanks for the post Steve. Yeah I believe you are right that the 1068 went for 800 last year.

I guess I should just wait and see what this years seeds bring to the scales.

The thing is that the press are the ones that bring the people to the weigh offs, and when they talk about how much "our" seeds are worth, then it brings more interest to the weigh offs.

More interest, more people, more money for the sponsors, more payout to the growers.

I hope I am not wrong with this thought, any input on that as well is appreciated.
