You are welcome, the one I bought from SOGPG is being crossed with the 689Beauchemin, 4 generations of 898Knauss in it.

Joe,
just curious, how many growers are you predicting will grow the 1375.5 this year? I haven't heard much talk about it being grown, so maybe alot of growers are keeping this seed under their hat untill weigh off time. I know yourself and Tony are growing it for sure, and it looks like Brett Hester likes it also.

I think we are going to see some BIG pumpkins coming from that seed, and I think you will see another big one coming out of Doc's patch from the 1375.5 this year for sure.

I sent out all we had via the auctions and seeds sales, which amounted to about 40 seeds, and that doesn't include what Doc sent out to other growers in private swaps.

I had debated growing it but, after all, it DID produce the largest pumpkin ever grown and I believe the 1636 going light was a fluke. I happen to believe that, once Doc gets a couple of things figured out, it will produce a world record. The genetics are certainly there.

There seems to be trend within both our growing groups to grow seeds produced within them this year. This is the first year anyone other than myself has committed to growing my seeds and, barring disaster, you will see significantly larger pumpkins from the Gerchy patch this year.

I learned a lot from Quinn last year by asking him just one question. Several things about soil fertility just seemed to fall into place afterward.

Ya, I am giving it a shot... I tried Doc's 664 last year and it survived the Great oregon 'Tornado'. powdery mildew and weeds and came through with a waist high white wheel at 927 pounds. I figure with that toughness, I should try another one of Doc's seeds.
