http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=228613 Pictured above is the 1714 Weston.
Grown from the 1312 Weston (1381 Checkon x 1725 Harp)22.7% heavy. Pollinated with the 1676.5 Daletas that grew our PB 1718 Weston.
This pumpkin grew over 60 lbs a day for a week with 66 lbs being the peak gain and was flawless inside.
There was a lot of interest in this seed while it was growing, but due to the fact that there were only 3 well formed seeds and 9 more that are most likely viable, we were unable to make it available.
We have however given ONE seed to the Kentucky Giant Pumpkin Growers Seed Auction to raise funds for our club. This is the only one that will be given out. Rest assured it will be in the Weston Patch next year. Good luck and have fun growing it!

i saw the 1714 weighed , and it was a beast. this could very well be a classic" sleeper" seed, and because the seed count was so low, it will be a rare one indeed.very nice of cecil and teresa to donate one of their few seeds from this kin. i hope whoever wins it at the ky. auction grows a monster from it.
