I will post auctions as I get time. Probably can't do all of them as you can tell I missed the last two (Work and such). Spudder diary says he is not doing them this year and I can blame him. Sitting here for hours and hours and watching auctions, editing pdf etc. is a bit if a thankless job. Thanks spudder for doing a great job the last several years.

Your hard work is appreciated by many people. I can't attend many auctions because of my work schedule. It's nice to see how much seeds are going for when I am able to bid in a live auction.

Altitude, isn't there a running record of the winning bids kept to reference immediately while or immediately after the auction is run? Hmmm, that's a good place to save the length of the auction minus about 2 hours. Just a casual observation of one whom does NOT care about the prices of seeds in retrospect. That was then and this is now, as I always say. Not focusing on you at all, but you're right in on it and know the perils of this. Food for thought. eg

PP, the short answer is no. If people would go read that entry and really think about what I am saying instead of getting ticked off about it that would be a good start to what I think is a much needed discussion not just for the recording but for the auctions themselves. And as for the volunteering, there are so many people on this extremely cheap and valuable site that any given person would not have to volunteer any more then once every several years. This is not about starting trouble but someone better known to the community would be better starting a discussion than a person like me that is not really known to you guys. Scott , Venari and C'ntryboy might also probably chime in on what they see and know

Would it be a reasonable ask to have the auctions post their own results, as they have to record it anyway? Other opportunities would be if all willing individuals could put their names in " a hat" an you draw for the auction you are responsible for? I mean we all know life happens so beating someone up who could not help should not happen. I am willing to help, just need someone to show me the right way to submit. Just let me know. I to appreciate the time others have taken. Stay well

Open Notepad to copy to. Open auction details and copy( I do it by scrolling down the whole page at once). Then you have to separate the lots and if they have pumpin weights etc underneath the pictures that has to be deleted out. where it gets tricky is when there are late changes or additions during the auctions(you will find out how good your copy and paste reflexes are)During the auction you should have Notepad open and minimized to bring up after each lot sells. I have 2 screens so I have the auction results screen and notepad on the second(you should have second window if you are posting live after several lots and always check to make sure it was completely copied properly after each copy and paste keeping in mind the 2000 character limit. Some auctions are difficult to copy and paste due to the program that was used to submit auction details. It can be saved and pasted the next day if needed. If you make a mistake in a price remember that you are human and volunteering. You also if you want to post during the auction if you noticed they missed a lot, more then 1 set in lot and also if they gave lot to wrong person. this does not happen often but it does happen. You can be their 3rd eye. Ask questions from us if you need to until you are comfortable. A few practise runs before you go live maybe.

Berggren - FAR-better-worded and much nicer than I usually appear to be at throwing in my own opinions and says what I had meant to to begin with, so, thanks!!!
I have to go, so I'll read this and the other many times over, Spudder and sorry to have verbally gotten you back into it, having wanted out of it. I'll keep my 'gun holstered' unless I really feel the need to add in, constructively.
I HAD experimented on the NYSGPGA Auction that has no pictures, butt links and was having my own successes, butt decided it was all figured out already probably, and I did not consider pictures butt I'll check that out later.
Lastly, as you said, it IS a much-needed discussion and this may be it, lol. eg
