Does it matter if the barrel I found for my compost tea is a black plastic? Or do I need to keep hunting for a light collored barrel. Thanks, Kenny

I really doubt that it makes any difference. What is more important is the temperature....between 70-80° for the fastest growth of bacteria. Keep in mind the bigger the container, the more oxygen is required.

Doesn't matter as long as you don't keep it in direct sunlight. The UV rays will kill some of the microbes in the tea if directly exposed and the black will undoubtably heat up too much in direct sun anyway.
