            | James Kyle | Montana | Is manure in compost tea a good idea? I don't have any compost and wonder if manure can be used as a sort of substitute. | 6/19/2009 11:03:47 PM |

            | Tad12 | Seattle, WA | Manure is going to contain a lot of pathogens, compost the material first before putting it into a brewer. | 6/22/2009 12:08:13 AM |

            | ZAPPA | Western PA | Hello everyone, I am new to this site. Also relatively new to trying to grow AG pumpkins. I started using manure tea about half way through my plants growth this year. It made a huge difference in the size and quality of the plant.A few leaves measure 20x22 inches. Before using the tea my leaves were not even half that size.It seems that I may be using it too much from reading what other people are doing. I was watering my plants (vines only) about 12 gallons a night per plant.

Tad12, how do you compost manure ? Is it just well aged, black manure ???
