The Stihl has a strainer at the top but apparently I need something finer to keep the particles out. I would have figured KIS had solved this issue somehow.

Does everyone normally perform additional filtering of tea? I can only imagine what it would do to a compression sprayer. Thanks

Is it clogging at the nozzle tip? For some reason, some people seem to have problems with clogging while others don't at all. You may need to strain it again, but typically what I recommend doing is letting the tea settle for 5-10 minutes. This will take care of a lot of the particulate. Then, use the bottom bit of the bucket as a soil drench. Let me know if you're still having problems and I have a bag strainer that may work for you.

crank that Stihl's adjustment wheel open and run at higher idle,,hit the throttle only when necessary to "reach" somewhere, never had a clog here

I think the key may be to dilute the tea further and try harder not to disturb the particles at the bottom of the bucket. I'll whip up a new batch tonight for spraying tomorrow and see how it goes.
