so i had a homemade trash can to make c bin but it started to smell, i made a big one about a square metre but i find i have plenty nitrogen stuff and not enopugh carbon, what are some good carbons that are easily found???

If you google "compost calculator" there are a few sites that will calculate the carbon to nitrogen ratio for you, making it much easier to get it right.

Lack of oxygen is also a fault with metal solid sided containers. The ideal size of a pile making compost is 4ft. x 4ft. X 4ft. Anything larger or smaller is a bit of a problem.
