Hello is animal feed grade molasses suitable for compost tea or should i wait until i can get some pure molasses.

Molasses
Premium grade, low sugar blend.

Ingredients: Composition: Condensed molasses solubles,
Sugar cane molasses, Vegetable oil.

Haven't tested it, but my thought is that it should work. Does it contain sulfur? (that's an anti-microbial)

At a animal feed store i can buy a 5 litre / 1 gallon jack of molasses £7 approx 12 dollars it doesnt say on the containers so i just inquired via the manufactures web site on the status of sulfured or not.

i checked with an animal feed grade mollassses manufacture
they have 0.4% sulphur in the process is this to much to be suitable for compost tea..

Do not use feed grade mollassas becauce it all comes with a mold inhibater and you want mold it will totaly defeat your purpose. you can buy buy dried mollasaas like brand Captin Kid becauce it is all organic.

I have used feed grad molasses for years and it works great. Black strap is better if you can find it

Ontario

In ontario they are not allowed to add additives to feed grade molassas as they can in some states. So our feed grade is pure molasses.
