I started brewing my compost tea and then did not have time to use it - its been brewing a week now. Should I toss it or as long as it being aerated is it still good?

Use it 24 - 36 hours after making it.

Some plants like corn and potatoes can handle anything. Might still be of benefit! I assume it has nutrients in it. But things with sensitive roots and around the stump of important competition plants, you want to be careful.

It's still brewing after a week. Where does my time go. Now I have to start all over.

The problem with compost tea..where does it go from aerobic to anaerobic. Aerobic is good Anaerobic is bad. The dividing line is to determinatn the the level of food and the oxygen levels. Microorganisms multiply at extreme rates...the level of oxygen in a solution is limited. I would say that after a week...there is no way enough oxygen to keep the solution Aerobic. Toss it...potential loss to potential harm is way lopsided.

Thanks for the link baitman, and I agree to probably toss it. If you've kept it aerated it won't be bad for the plants but from a microbial perspective you will have lost all your diversity.
Think survival of the fittest, over time you end up with just one morphology of flagellate and one morphology of bacteria, everything else gets eaten.
