The list below are the candidates I have so far for the 2007 Virtual Weighoff. I apologize if I missed anyone who said they would donate their seed to the effort. Please post those below if still interested or if you have not posted and want your seed added to the list, please post as well (I need at least 100 seeds from each pumpkin). If growers cannot donate the seed below as once thought, please email me @ pumpkinpost@sbcglobal.net. I will provide more details on sending me the seeds for distribution.

I think I will run it as follows. Each grower can pick 5 different seeds for $1 a piece, so $5 total. This is for shipping and handling. A grower will have to choose 5 different seeds and not 2,3,4 or 5 of the same seed.

I will donate a gift certificate to pumpkinpost.com as well as a proven seed (still deciding....lol)to the winner. If we get more donations we can have more levels of prizes. Most people objected to a prized $ structure. They just wanted to do this for fun. That is very cool.

Each grower will have to post at least weekly on bigpumpkins.com so that everyone can follow each others progress. Once you order up the seeds, you will automatically be in the event. This is a great way for seeds to be proven. Just think of it as a nice little genetic project.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would like to hear them. I will post an official thread to start the weighoff once I get the seeds sent and posted online.
