When you start a pumpkin indoors in the spring. How do you calculate the number of days from germination with the days spent indoors. Is a day indoors under grow lamps in a 12 inch pot equal to a day outside. In other words. Do I subtract the days indoors from the number on the seed packet

Depending on your germination method it could take 1 to 7 days or so. Keep your plants in the pots 1 to 2 weeks then transplant outside so be ready. 60 more days or so till you get a pumpkin set on the vine. 70 to 90 days of pumpkin growth. If you have store bought seeds with directions on the package then you need to ask for real seeds from someone on this site. Good luck and have fun!
