There are 2 Yoots That keep calling me from Minnesota. They claim Ron Wallace is also on there phone list. They are determined to get a 2145 & have aprox 125$ to spend.I told them most would not part with there 2145 for such a small amount of $$.I certainly wont as I feel it will grow the first 3000 lb pumpkin.I may grow mine in furture years Lord willing & the creek dont rise. Some have had bad luck with the 2145,So just asking does anyone want to help out 2 YOOTS ?? from Minnesota ?? I have already sent them a Free bubble full of great 2145 crosses but they are determined. PlEASE SEND HELP! ROBO CALLERS LOL

Don't look at me. Maybe they just want to have the same seed as what I have. I picked up a 2145 from Matt W at his Black Hills Giant Pumpkin Growers auction. I had a to spend a bit more....ok maybe a lot more than $125 to get this seed. I cant remember for sure, it might have cost me over $400. It is ok, i intend to win it back when I go out there the last weekend of September for the weigh off. It is support the club that has the weighoff you are planning for. I know some new growers that want a 2624 also...they think that it should be given to them. I was in one auction this winter...it sold for nearly $600. It is just not minnesota...people are truly shocked when I tell them what a 2096 Meier sold for just a few years ago.

I paid 535$ for my 2145 bidding against Eddy Z back n 2017 & it grew my 2043.5 . I know some had bad luck with the 2145 like Jerry Rose & the Bird man.So Im thinking someone might have one & dont really want it.If so the kids are dying to get one.I thought it might be worth a shot.Im not selling mine.I told them they could try & win the one Im giving away on YouTube.Thats the best I can do

I am looking at the seeds I am thinking about growing this year. Wow, tracing back the genetics..they are nearly all 2145 selfed, sibbed, uncle...etc. I think the price of an original 2145 has dropped in the past few years, as the offspring has come to the front. But it hasn't dropped that much. And to think...the first year, seeds from the 2145 were thrown into auction lots just to get people to bid. I have to wonder how many seeds Gene gave away, that first year, just to help the auctions by a few dollars per lot. The 2145 that I purchased this winter was the first one, I have ever had in my possession. Hmmmm, it has been about 2 months, I do not know where it went to. Maybe in the next ten years, I will figure out what crevice it fell into.

Steer them towards a 2005 H seed. They can buy two for 120 and have 30 left over for fertilizer.
