Glad its still going. I do hope to participate...
PS, Look how well the 1109 Jutras has done. Maybe the performance of a plant in just 150 ft is one of the measures of its potential.

Yes Gritty. You are correct the 1109 Jutras Squash had its humble beginnings in the 150 Contest

Thank you Steve for stepping up and taking over the 150 contest during my time of distress. I am forever indebted to you. I would like to try growing in the 150 contest again. I am not sure how I could approach it, with my excess amount of sand...but the 150 contest would be my easiest to prepare. I could even try a raised bed with fertigation.

A few days ago, I received an email from an organizer of a community garden in Fort Collins, Co. She asked me a few questions about the 150 competition and I thought I was giving answers that could help the grower to attempt the 150 there. She took my answers all wrong, and the board of the community garden decided not to allow this grower a space. If this grower reads this..i appologize...i probably shouldnt have answered. If anyone in Fort Collins knows another area, I know there is a grower that wants to try it.

I will have to read the rules again pumpconn...if you will accept my entry.

It makes me think Butler's pumpkin may have 2k + potential.
