They have all grown over 1 ton. Great year for seeds.
All these seeds are from the 2019 growing season and went very cheap and some were not considered good enough for auctions(not sure about 2294 Noel price).
The 2183 went for 30 on its own.
1885 I believe had a NS for second lot and went for as low as 45 in a package with the 1955 in 2021 auction.
2261 went for as little as 20 on its own.
Remember that when you think that you cannot find good seeds at an affordable price( not everyone can pay the big bucks) in the auctions and you do not bid on a well bred seed new seed because it was not big enough. Some one took a chance on these basically unwanted seeds and proved them. Now you cannot afford some of them.

I had intended to spend LESS on seeds this year and ended up spending more! I'll be VERY happy for years to come with my 'boughten' seeds, though - Incentive is high for one to grow one's own seeds and 'prove' them, but...Auction seeds are irresistible and make the wheels go 'round. eg

Hindsight is 20/20. The only seeds that really dont have 2k potential are probably some of the HD orange lineages that havent been outcrossed with heavier genetics. The max potential of these seems to top out at 1500.

In 2019 I gave away 1/3 of the 2183 seeds to clubs and after the auctions to growers. At the Big Show in Las Vegas, I told everyone who asked me, I had to send the seeds 2 months before by letter, to a friend in the USA, in order to have them on the day of Las Vegas... 30 seeds 2183 take, and all were given. and before I left I had 6x 2183 left over that I gave to a boy who asked me for one, I couldn't take them on the plane. Few people grew it in 2020, if I didn't get to plant it, it would have been a forgotten seed. That is why I like auctions, when you pay for a seed you give it more value than a seed that someone gives you and that is not proven. That's how we growers, with tens or hundreds of seeds stored in the fridge, which will never be sown, it's a shame.

The good news is that seeds last sort-of-a long time, so, once a track record is established, there is still time to give them a go!
PS---VERY guilty of the seed-storing;
If they did not ever lose their zeal, I'd either be rich or, more likely,
more 'pumpkin-popular', lol---eg

Also, the amount of live auctions went from 28 last year to 41 this year. That is a big jump.
