My hoop house with power is about 200 feet from my home. I have WiFi in my home but it doesn't reach the hoop house. I have a Mac and IOS cell phone.
Can anyone recommend a good thermometer that I can get a readout on my cell phone. I also want it to alarm my cell phone if it gets too hot/humid.
Thanks.

A few of us are using SensorPush. I also know someone using Govee, looks like a less a expensive one that should work well too.

I use Govee, they are inexpensive but work great within a limited distance.

I use Govee. They work great and can be found on Amazon. However I have found 150’ to be about the maximum distance on the Wifi.

Off the wall, yes, I am, but for my CAR remote that I've been unhappy with the range of, I took 2 free aluminum serving trays (like would be full of lasagna or meatballs @ a buffet) and put them up in my kitchen as range enhancers and each of them works dramatically better, one more than the other but better, like 100% the one of them is. SO, as outlandish as it may seem, one of these at the GH and the other at the house with perhaps electric fence wire between them might be a cheap improvement enough to eradicate the problem.
PS - Any wire could be used, including extension cords.
If you needed to hook up speakers for a party, you'd do that in a heartbeat.
I hope your chosen method works out for you, though. Later--eg

LOL Eric, I would save the serving trays for the Lasagna. The Govee's are like $10.

The Govee does have a plug that you plug into your wall. This plug connects to your house Wifi. The plug is what transmits approximately 150’ to your WiFi sensors in you hoop houses. So with that being said you could possibly run an extension cord 50-100’ towards you patch from you house and put that sensor on a pole in your yard. It would need to be protected from rain. And you would get 150’ of signal from the plug to your patch. Just an option to increase your WiFi range.

You could be better off throwing your money at something else. Maybe focus on what you plan to do to mitigate high or low temperature. For example, if you plan to turn fans on or misters on you may want to spend your money controlling those with a thermostat device like an Inkbird or the like. If you just plan to run out and open some plastic then the Govee will work for you.

I have a wireless thermostat that is no longer made it works to over 200 ft. If I have metal between the indoor and outdoor units it shortens the range or breaks the connection, it can be be a small amount of metal if it is close to one of the units, one piece of rebar or pipe is enough. Metal fence or concrete reinforcement mesh will do that too
