Interesting article! Once a week I feed sea-com ( kelp ) and 3ml boron through the leaves. I use to spray everything but I've limited my sprays by more then half. This is one I'll continue spraying.
Most everything the plants get this year will be through the soil.
One thing I've noticed over the years is Mn and Boron get into the plant quickly through the leaves. I've found this to be true through tissue testing every 14 days in years past.

I've made an effort this year to raise my boron levels up to around 2 ppm using granular then go a little higher doing foliar feeding. I got my magnesium and manganese in the soil this year. Haven't started my boron yet, but I got pumpkins on now so maybe next week I'll start feeding it.
