Recently I was asking if anyone had any experience using mycorrhizae in the wetable powder (WP) form. Since I was thinking how great it would be to mix it up in a sprayer tank and do a drench with it after a vine burying day I decided to buy some. If you plan to use it you should know that though it will readily mix in water it does not actually dissolve. In very short order it will settle to the bottom of your mixing vessel. So, if you plan to use it you'll need constant agitation or you wont get the affect you want. If your carrying a pump sprayer around I guess you can shake it up before you spray. Anything larger than that will require agitation. So, if you don't have a trolling motor or a weed eater stuck in your tank you'll be out of luck. :) Of course you can just mix it in the soil the same way you do the granules which is what I ended up doing.

Any interesting experiment would be to do a side by side experiment incubating granules and wetable powder to see what grows. The media coincidentally could be malt agar which is a seaweed based media commonly used for the incubation of many fungi species. Each propagule (colony forming unit) if viable should produce. By weight out an equal amount of each, you might be able to determine which inoculant gives you the most bang for your buck. Hmmm! If I only had the time.

My experiment at this point is to grow 2/3/4 last-chance plants in an area of about 1600 sf because I oversprouted and have orphans now to the max., with freshly-mowed and Glyphosate-killed grass as a ground cover and simply broadcast-spread as little as possible Holland's Bio Grow Endo Plus Mycorrhizal Inoculant, which is for tilling in but if it's THERE as the roots emerge from wherever they can, it should still have a great benefit - we'll see---eg
