Mine was 2500 when I planted it Jake but I'm not sure what happen.:)

Not sure you'll get one answer out of this question. lol

Keep up the videos! Great watch every time!

Only a few years ago, if you asked for a weight like 2500 for a pumpkin,,,,,,, we would of all thought you're crazy! Its amazing that now the question can be asked about " who has the 3000 pounder " and its true!

Love this hobby as we push the envelope each and every year!

Ive got one that might go 2500 but then again it might not.My guess is theyll be 3 pumpkins in north america this fall in that tax bracket and I doubt any of their growers is gonna bite at telling on themselves.I hear theres a lot of prize money out west to make showing ones hand a bad idea.

Here in the north part of the country, the group called DA YUPPERS,sings a song called the second week of deer camp, is the greatest time of the year, but i might have to agree with ya, Jake ;)

You mention 2500 pounders so if a certain person would have say a 2600 pounder you wouldn't be interested?

Yes spudder, it is. Its just crazy how this hobby exploded in weights the past 5 years!

That means there's a few great people out there who still share info and help others the best they can!:)

Love it!

What would be interesting to know is of the say 2400 to the WR weight pumpkins with official weights how many were grown in green houses. Could it be people just figured out that to grow a really big pumpkin you need a really big greenhouse set up?

8/22/2022 1:18:40 PM

The answer probably is from the GPC info 7 indoors and 4 outdoors. That is based on the area the growers are from as I do not know of any EU growers that go that big growing outdoors. Somebody else might be able to answer that. I believe that last year there was at least a couple of the top outdoor growers that did not grow.

It was not that many years ago that 1000LBs was the gold standard to hit. That is why some people reference 1000 LBs.

For 2500 LBers I think it is 6 indoors vs 2 outdoors.

I don't care where they are grown either! I just want to see that 3000 pound pumpkin!!

We do what we do for our area to get the biggest fruit possible.

Going to be a fun weigh off season!
