I posted a couple pictures on my diary of some leaves,can anyone tell me what is going on with this plant. In the morning the leaves look normal.As the day progresses the leaves look like gator skin no matter what the weather is. oj65 thanks

I'm sure it means something, not necessarily bad. There is an ebb and flow of water and nutrients, a time lapse video might best capture what was happening. I am stumped, but I do believe you are seeing what you say you are seeing.

In my patch I see changes in magnesium, sometimes on a daily basis, but those do depend on the weather. I dont think I've seen nitrogen moving around on a daily basis although it is a mobile nutrient. Is chloride mobile...? A bit of excess salts of some kind, maybe? Well, there I go again into maybe-misleading-musings.

Green Toe, Glenn, this is what he is referring to. The inner leaf looks different like he said... gator skin. If that is normal, then I am not normal and blame red clay soil for all of my issues. lol

I haven't used any herbicides but thanks for all your guys compliments.I just hope I can keep it up tell the end .

If not Herbicide I would say something is going on with the grass in the patch. Is this a new patch? Hard to tell but is the plant growing over your original grass? Freshly tilled grass that has been fertilized in the past can release nitrogen unexpectedly.

If not herbicide I would say it would be nutritional an excess of something you are giving it most likely. (Just a guess though). If those were my plants I wouldn't be worried in the slightest. Keep up the good work.
