What happened to the chat? I remember when I last grew giant vegetables in 2013. The general chat had 20 to 30 people per night on it. There was a lot of good growing info shared there. I learned a lot there. Lots of names I knew would not be around since then, but I figured it be still active. Looks like it’s dead now days. I talk to a lot of good people on there. Just wish it was a little more active now days.

In the winter time there is usually 5-10 growers in the chat in the evening. The rest of the year it's pretty dead though.

Several growers who were there every night passed away, others stopped coming around or stopped growing and the chat community gradually faded over the years, probably replaced by facebook group chats.

Back in the day it was packed and there also 500 diaries. Now there isn't even 200. There are many new growers, but as Jordan said they use other platforms.

I have found the best information is still on forums like BP or forums for any other hobbies like fishing. Facebook has groups for everything, but many get so diluted with people that have no clue what they are talking about.

Yep other platforms are where people chat but as luke said this is the best place for actual growing information.

I enjoy chat when I find someone in the room. Everyone has been approachable. Answering questions. I like most others have more down time in the winter. Hope to find some willing victims again this year. Best of luck to all with kins still packing on the pounds.

I used to frequent the chat nightly, then got away from it. Tried going in this past winter, but the immaturity was too much for me. Not a lot of pumpkin talk going on
