Looking like I might have foaming stumps on my last two plants alive. Got 4 inches of rain Tuesday night. Just now seeing this. Problem spots are at the base of the plant and possibly where first side vine meets main. No foam visible now but something is wrong, it's wet and not looking good. Rest of the plant is big green and healthy it looks like. Any advice would be great. Thanks

I got a leaking stump very early this season, late June, right after our big heat wave. I caught it early and treated it similarly to what Quinn does. It’s been 3 weeks and my stump is still working. It’s not pretty, but every day I have it working, or even working at 50 %, that’s more pounds on the pumpkin.

Don't hesitate, cut it open, look inside. It’s likely full of water. Suck it out, drill a hole with a 3/8 wood bit, down through stump so it will drain out at lowest spot possible. Take your time and look it over to decide where to do this at.
The link that pumpkinpal posted is golden !
Get a fan or 2 on it. They don’t always dry up. Mine is still leaking,( can’t stop it) but it’s running out the hole I drilled. The stump will eventually fail I am thinking, but every day it’s working, it’s way better than cutting it off.
Good luck !
