Should you stop fertilizers before and after pollination of melons like you do for AG's? Any advise???

I think if you plant is really green & looking like its not needy I would back off the ferts the day before the flower opens.3 days for non chelated ferts.same withe kins.Too much nitrogen can cause aborts.Otherwise I dont think it would hurt. However I wouldnt let any foliars get on your on your fruit.
