Wonder what everyone uses as a cover for your melon. I see some use sheets, some use screen, some use a complete cover. What do you use?
Last year I used a shade cloth type material above the melon with a white sheet over the melon.

I take a pillow case and cut one of the seams on the long side. I use that over the melon. Unfortunately I haven't grown one big enough to warrant using two pillow cases

A tarp just like the pumpkins but a mini one...:) plus cover melon also with a sheet folded...
