Pumpkingoober may be on the cutting edge of something. I had no idea this was feasible. What are the possibilities ? Any thoughts ? So how about a 239 Leonard melon grafted onto a pumpkin plant grown from a seed from a 2,000 pound pumpkin ? Here I go dreaming again - LOL.

I will call it AMAZING if it grows. I had no idea fruit could be grafted.

I'll try to get you a extra 239 Leonard embryo from Chris next year. I can already see it growing. LOL Please tell us about the healing process Pumpkingoober. Did you do a slant cut across the stems and just stick them together ? Life is sometimes simply amazing. I think I just need to find me a mad scientist to insert an extra gene into a Carolina Cross strain to make them put on weight faster. Darn, if only I was rich......

I put a 30 degree cut on the stem and matching cut on the vine. Wanted alot of surface contact, kept it sprayed for a few days and on the fourth or fith day I dusted heavy with sulfer. So far so good. I actually need to cull a couple cushaw squash that are growing up on the same vine, just making sure the healing process is close to done. On anything, you never know until you try,lol
