FYI (in my case anyway), Monday ~ 6:00 pm, I added a generic aspirin to 2 cups of water and thoroughly sprayed the top of the 4" ProMix HP filled pots containing unfiled/unsoaked watermelon seeds (291, 316, 296.5, 194.5) which were then placed in incubator at 84 degrees. I'm very impressed with all 8 seeds breaking dirt between 60 and 70 hours and under grow lights now! I've used willow tea before because it also contains rooting hormones, but the salicylic acid in the aspirin seems to work well for germinating and may stimulate a SAR response as well - Good Luck

I use a lot of aspirin. I think my plants react well to it.

Tennessee how many mg of aspirin per gallon of water do you use for foliar spraying, and how often? Do you use through the whole season?

I purchase out of date aspirin at flea markets for very low prices. I add about one 325 grains aspirin per gallon of spray water. And yes, I use it through the entire season.

Cornhusk how many mg was the tablet you used with 2 cups of water? Was the planting medium already pre-wet or was the aspirin water the only moisture? Thanks
