finally put enough bloom booster b_52 and a female popped out today pretty hot out ,i covered it with a bucket and watered the plant so it dont shrivel up!!!!
wen u guys poliate a female how do u keep the bee,s out flower is alot smaller than the pumpkins , i used 3 male flowers on it and have it under a 5 galon bucket so far so good !!!! any suggestions please!!! thanks pizza
my plant is about covering a 10x10 area and growing the main vine is 14 ft and thats where the melon is located also go another 13 ft vive too

Hot weather can make it tough to get a good set. If it does set, don't be surprised if it's a pear shape. If it's the first female give it time. There will be more, probably bigger and better shaped. Youve done the right thing by covering it. Make sure you are not pining or damaging the vine with your bucket. I use a styrofoam cup and notch the sides out for the vines. Remove cover tomorrow,if it took you should notice.

Im up to three omg ,found 2 more today the first one took is the size of my thumb ,do you cut the main and dead head the vine or do i leave it keep growing due to low amount of folage???? Ill post pics tonight in my disry thanks pizza

i polinated yesterday afternoon im hopeing the bees did not beet me i used 3 flowers on it

I deadhead mine at the melon once it gets a good size. I think Chris Kent said the vine usually stops growing anyway. Pollinate all of them and keep the best looking one. Try to keep one on a main or finger vine if you have it.
