Could any growers out there that have gotten a 200-250+ pound melon to the scales tell me how many dap's it took to grow? Have read tons of diaries & have not seen any numbers on this. Would love to know how many days that 350.5 melon was on the vine >dap...wink wink Mr. Kent! I know there are a lot of variables but still, I am curious at possible bench marks out there. Thanks

Day27-100
40 - 150
55 - 200
80 - 250.

Hey Midwestgrower, do a google search for Team pumpkin Watermelons 101. It is a slide presentation that Mama Sue Barber did that has good info and it includes a melon pacer for reaching 250 lbs.

My 228 in 2015 was 77 days old.

Day 20 OTT- 134.5
Day 30 OTT- 158
Day 40 OTT- 176.25
Day 50 OTT- 189
Day 60 OTT- 196
Day 70 OTT- 200

Day 20 on my 296.5 was130.5 ott
It was 92 days old when harvested.

My mistake it was 76 days old... also it had some rack sag and gained like 5 inches... taped 220 lbs and weighed 232.75

They seem to slow at 50 days.
Perhaps the first 40-45 days are peak growth time ?
