As most of you know Mr Marvin Mitchell is having some health issues. As a token of our support from the watermelon growers I would like to announce a contest for 2018. Mr Marvin has been a great asset to watermelon growers everywhere. With his work with the GWG to just helping new growers. So here's the contest.

For 2018 anyone who grows a Marvin Mitchell seed is eligible. It could be his 255, 199.5, 259... You choose any of his seeds. The melon needs to be weighed at a GPC event. Our goal is to see Mr Marvin's name on the GPC list at the top where it belongs. Right now the prize pool is $400. I have donated $100 and an anonymous donor has donated $300. What a great idea Jeremy. I know a lot of you don't have a Marv Mitchell melon seed.
The club has 28 pks of the 259 Mitchell from 2017. Anyone who joins the club for 2018 and requests a 259 I will put a pk in their free seed pack until I run out. I will also donate $100 for this great cause.

Bigg Dogg has got (2)-255 Mitchell’s and (4) 199.5 Mitchell ‘s up and grafted them yesterday. I will do my best to make him proud as he has helped me tremendously.
