Frank Mudd's Gladys weighed 293.5 pounds at the Kentucky State Fair. What a great start to the season. I think it is going to be a great one. Big congratulations Frank. Anyone know more details ?

OK, the results of the Kentucky State Fair have already been posted by the GPC. 2nd place to Joseph Miller at 179.5, third place to Andy Mills at 169.5 & fourth place to Nathan Biggs at 96 pounds, so Frank dominated this contest by a large margin as he usually does. Congratulations to all the participating growers.

On 8/28/2018 I responded to a post. Kinda funny that some snickered at it......
"Most years you can gauge Frank's patch by what he brings to the Kentucky State Fair."
Be prepared for second place ribbons......

I agree. I am pretty sure Frank has something over 300 pounds this year. I am just wondering if this is the year the 350.5 Kent will be beaten. But I would almost bet someone sets a new world record this year. Frank is about as consistent as anyone growing.
