It's with a heavy heart that I let everyone know of the passing of Henry Pleasant. Henry was a pioneer in growing giant watermelons and held the NC state record in 2009 with 267lbs

Thanks Todd for remembering Henry on this board. He was truly one of the North Carolina "Watermelon Kings". He was a top tier grower who helped lots of other growers get a good start in growing competition watermelons.
