How many bonus points if we correctly guess the final length.? I kinda want to try for my states record but I drew the line at growing one this year. Figured if I grew one this year... the only thing overextended would be me.

10" per day is great. It probably won't keep that up for long. You can expect around 21 days of growth until they really slow down. But you are on track for something really good. A lot better than me. This year they are short and fat.

Can’t get one set on my 143.25 Checkon. Probably about time to pull the plant as I’m running out of time.

Joe Young grew a 98" long gourd checked in at Ryan Norlin Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off in 2014. That's your Illinois record. http://longgourds.giantstogrow.com

I've got a 116.5 Scherber going. It's more of a short gourd since I got a late start. I'm going to have fun with it this year and try for a state record next year.
