What makes my tomatoe leaves curl up lenghtwise? The leaves look like green cigars.

I had a thrip problem a couple yrs ago, that had this. Never did get the thrips controlled. lol

If it is curled up length wise, check the leaf look for the stems of the leaf to see if they have been nawed up.

Did u Fertlize a couple days before u first noticed it. If so did u accidently add to much fert?

2-4-D will cause this as well, Have u added it lately? Contrary to popular belief, dead calm conditions are often associated with a phenomenon known as temperature inversions. Spraying under such conditions can actually increase drift distance.

Your curled leaves could be the result of the normal spring to summer transition, and the topgrowth might be outstripping the root growth. This can lead to leaf curl, which isn't caused by either pest or disease; it's an environmental thing. If this is what is affecting your tomato plant, it could have been aggravated by excess rain which can stunt root growth.

The tomato yellow leaf curl virus (also referred to as tomato leaf curl), is a viral disease that is usually transmitted by sucking insects. This disease tends to be a problem in greenhouse grown tomatoes and is uncommon in plants grown outdoors.

If the infection occurs while the plant is still young, the plant will remain small, with terminal and auxiliary shoots remaining upright. Leaves that develop soon after the infection occurs will cup downward, but later leaves will appear chlorotic (yellow) and deformed, with leaf edges cupping upward.
