Okay, from which seed will we see the heaviest tomato this year? I feel certain it will come from the Nick Harp 7.18, the Brandt Timm 5.18 or a Big Zac. What do the rest of you think? All of these seeds are either Big Zac or its offspring. There have to be other seeds out there, as yet unknown, which have potential.I may have one of them or maybe it is you that has the one, the seed everyone will be begging for next season.

By how they look home right now I would put my money to 4.41 Timm -09

That seed has way more vigor than rest of them including 7.18/5.32/5.58 etc. Closest to 4.41 is 5.416 Harp -09

2.77 Lovelace, plant is doing majorly awesome here. I think it has greatness in it's future...

The 7.18 Harp have had a very good showing so far. The other Lovelaces are looking good, and the Rinne and Mantyniemi are small but gaining, looking good for their age and needing a repot very soon!

I only have four going right now, 3 - 7.18 Harp and 1 - 5.58 Timm, all are looking good but one of the 7.18's are looking a little extra good. I plan on starting several more different varieties in a staggered planting.
I think it would be a safe bet that the 7.18 could be the seed which produces next season's largest tomato for a few different reasons, but mainly the same reason the 5.58 Timm produced last years largest.
There has been a gaining interest in growing Giant tomatoes. Competitive people search out seeds which they believe will give them the best chance at growing the biggest. Most believe the best seeds to use should be from the largest fruit possible, we see this every year with pumpkins. Both of these seeds were widely distributed.
